Who am I?

My name is Bob Bishop and I am President of Robert Bishop Financial Planning and Services.  I started my firm in 2006 to offer indendent, unbiased investment management services, financial advice, and debt/budget counseling to clients.  I considered working with one of the many large financial services firms and interviewed with many of them.  After a number of meetings, I realized that if I worked for any of these companies, I would simply be a salesman of financial products and would be under tremendous pressure to meet sales goals to keep my job.  For this reason, I decided to go independent from day one.  I believe that when it comes to providing investment advice and counseling or offering appropriate financial products to clients, I should only have the clients best interests in mind.  Unfortunately, I felt that working for any of these companies could compromise my integrity and judgement and ultimately result in a conflict of interest.  For this reason, I chose to start Robert Bishop Financial Planning & Services........
